DA supports MAGSIGE; empowers our Local Farmers
Last February 23, 2022, with the presence of the Department of Agriculture XI Regional Executive Director Abel James I. Monteagudo, together with the other personnel, came over for the conduct of the blessing and turnover ceremony. The Department of Agriculture XI under the Enhanced KADIWA ni Ani at Kita Inclusive Food Supply Chain Program has granted our cooperative, Manuel Guianga and Sirib Growers and Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (MAGSIGE MPC) one (1) 4×2 delivery vehicle, one (1) (30 kg.) weighing scale, one (1) (150 kg.) weighing scale, one (1) chiller, and one (1) freezer, worth 1.2 million pesos in total.
Hence, Mr. Agripino L. Torres, during his acceptance message, expressed how grateful he is as the CEO to the DA-XI for the interventions and support they are giving to our members-farmers and other local farmers.
He has also shared how this program will bring impact to our members’ and farmers’ lives knowing that the majority of our members and geological area are into farming. He too added that local farmers will surely be uplifted and empowered as MAGSIGE becomes a consolidator of our farmers’ yields. He also assured everyone especially the DA that as a consolidator, farmers’ yields will be bought at a competitive price and be sold lower than the market price.| via Prince Allan Maglinte
