MAGSIGE aspires
As MAGSIGE aspires to become a sustainable cooperative that will uplift the way of living of its members, MAGSIGE has expanded its business lines to materialize its vision. The cooperative has coordinated also with various Government Agencies to ensure program implementation effectiveness. Hence, with the help of the local government agencies, diverse programs are then realized.
As MAGSIGE widens its scope, MAGSIGE sought greater opportunities that will be of great help to the locale. Thus, knowing that Mindanao is an agricultural area, MAGSIGE has used this as an opportunity to enable the local farmers to uplift themselves and make them feel important and empowered. With the aid of the Department of Agriculture, our local rice, coffee, banana, vegetables, other types of farmers are now able to enjoy financial assistance in a form of loan to finance their farms. Aside from that, the Cooperative also extended technical assistance to help farmers learn how to capably manage the health of their land, effectively cultivate their crops, and increase their harvests. Also, our farmers’ yields are bought by MAGSIGE who serves as the consolidator at a very competitive price.
In our latest count, we already have eighty-seven funded farmers; 14 (Banana), 1 (Cacao), 1 (Coconut), 43 (Coffee), 1 (Lanzones), 3 (Durian), 18 (Palay), (13) egg production and 6 (Vegetables) under the DA-MAGSIGE Partnership. | via Prince Allan Maglinte
